In 2025, HAVEN filed a US patent on its core technology which allows for the 3-in-1 functionality of an expandable light that can be used as a lantern, flashlight, and power bank.

Up to 1,200 lumens when both the lantern and flashlight are on, HAVEN is bright enough to light up a campsite, a backyard party, or a path to safety. In fact, there are 8 different light settings including a multi-level lantern, floodlight, reading light, and an SOS strobe for emergencies.

When fully charged, HAVEN continues shining brightly up to 120 hours (on low) or 8 hours (at full blast). Doing the math, this means you can rely on HAVEN up to 20 nights off-grid or through a power outage.

Yes! With a powerful 10,000mAh battery, HAVEN can charge most phones 3-4 times or give your table a full boost.

With its IPX6 waterproof rating, HAVEN can withstand a rainstorm, splashes, or a misty day! Just ensure the USB-C charging port remains closed please.

HAVEN is made out of silicone which is famous for having a high resistance to moisture and extreme temperatures. If you get it dirty on your travels, just use a damp, soft cloth to wipe the lantern clean!

We love options, so we've given you three ways to charge: soak up the sun via its high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panel, plug it into a USB-C port, or use a standard wall outlet. Pro tip: Angle your solar panel for optimal absorption of the sun's direct rays.

Via USB-C, to go from empty to full, it will take about 7 hours. Via solar, it will depend on the sunshine! On a bright day, assume 1 hour of sun = 1 hour of charge. Please remember that some windows have a UV filter, so best to charge outside in direct sun if you can!

Plug HAVEN into a USB-C port or standard wall outlet, and the 4 LED lights will tell you how much charge you have. 4 solid white lights = full! Blinking lights means your HAVEN is charging up to the next level.

Using the two handles at either end, gently pull the lantern out in both directions. To close, simply hold solar panel and full panel flashlight and press together!

The power button near the flashlight panel turns on the flashlight and will cycle through 3 different levels of light + an SOS mode. Designed to be durable and be powered by the sun, HAVEN's lifespan depends on usage. That said, it will last up to 500+ full charge cycles before any battery degradation. According to our math, that's several decades!

Yes! HAVEN is solar and is built to last. It's definitely far from a single use plastic (like a water bottle) and not made from PVC! It's made from silicone which is generally considered to be an environmentally friendly option because it's inert, non-toxic, durable and manufactured with lower energy consumption compared to traditional materials. The UV resistant coding will help ensure it does not yellow, crack, or become brittle over time.

Cycle through the light modes, and "OFF" will be right after the SOS mode. Otherwise, just hold either the lantern or flashlight button for 3 seconds, and that light will turn off!

Yes! We can personalize HAVEN through printing directly on the rim of the lantern. Minimum quantities may apply. Reach out to us at contact@havenlantern.com for additional details.

We have a PRO tip based upon past experience. First, make sure your light is charged either via the sun or USB-C port. Check the battery indicator by plugging HAVEN into a USB-C port. 1 or fewer lit bars will mean your light needs more charge. Charge up to at least 3 bars for optimal performance and re-testing. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.
