A Decade of Impact
In 2012, John Salzinger founded a company that created both a new category, as well as a new business model.
The category was solar portable lighting, and the business model relied upon distribution through traditional retail channels to reduce margins to distribute the same products through non-profit and corporate programming. By the time of its acquisition in 2024, this B Corp had impacted 5 million lives without access to clean, reliable power and averted 4 million tons of CO2 globally.
Opening a new chapter, John utilized his experience over the past decade to enhance the form and function of a portable solar light + power bank… and HAVEN was born.
HAVEN is more than just technology and hardware. It is a guiding light, a safe harbor, a beacon of hope.
